Invitation to Subsidised Arts Award Training in Sunderland

Sunderland Cultural Partnership and Bridge North East are offering a number of subsidised Arts Award Training Sessions in Sunderland.

Over recent months, organisations involved in Sunderland Cultural Partnership’s Learning Group have been working together, with support from Bridge North East, to develop a city-wide Arts Award offer for Sunderland. This will mean that organisations involved will pool their individual Arts Awards into a ‘one stop shop’ where anyone interested in undertaking an award can see the full picture of what’s available in Sunderland. Sunderland Arts Award Advisors will also have the opportunity to be included in an innovative collaboration where a menu of Arts Award parts A, B and C will be created so that participants will be able to ‘cherry pick’ which organisation delivers each part of their training; creating a truly bespoke award delivered in partnership.

As part of the support we have received from Bridge North East to develop this project, we are running these subsidised sessions to support the training of new advisors, re-training of existing advisors and ensure those who wish to be involved are fully aware of the opportunity.

The training will include some time at the end of the session to update you on what is happening around Arts Award in Sunderland and help you plan your next steps and future involvement.

The outcome will see Sunderland as England’s first Arts Award Supporter City.
